Orihuela Costa Resort
The Orihuela Costa Resort is actually some 20 kilometres away from the city of Orihuela. It comprises of about 16 km of beautiful sandy beaches, rocky coves and clear sparkling waters, stretching from Punta Prima (just south of Torrevieja Spain) to Mil Palmeras.
The Orihuela Costa boasts some well known and popular resorts including Cabo Roig Spain, Playa Flamenca Spain, La Zenia Spain, Punta Prima Spain and Campoamor Spain. These resorts are all found along the N332 coastal road between Torrevieja and Pilar de la Horadada and are easily accessable from this road and also from the AP-7 motorway.
It is now one of the most popular destinations on the Costa Blanca for a summer holiday, attracting visitors from all over Europe. The people of Spain themselves also love this part of the coast, particularly those from the city of Murcia who flock to the Orihuela Costa in August. Holidaymakers are attracted by the wonderful, safe "blue flag" beaches, the warm, sunny climate and the abundance of facilities and entertainment.
The Orihuela Costa Resort enjoys a fantastic temperate climate and is renowned for being one of the healthiest places on earth to live. It basks in over 300 days of sunshine every year and has an average temperature of around 20 degrees celcius and very low rainfall. The hottest temperatures are during July and August when it can reach 40 degrees or more. Even in the winter the temperature rarely falls below 10 degrees.
